Camelon, Falkirk

Camelon is believed by local historians to have had a mighty Roman harbour linked to the great Roman Fort built at Carmuirs in the second century. It is also said to have been a great Pictish city with twelve brass gates and the site of many battles. It is also belived by some to have been the true home of King Arthur and his round table at Camelot.

However from then it was only with the coming of the new age of iron and the building of the Forth and Clyde Canal in the 1770's that Camelon began to be of some importance. It became a centre for the manufacture of nails and an industrial centre involved in boat building and tar making in the 1800's.

The most significant change occurred in the 1990's with the Millennium Link project which aimed to re-connect the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal with the building of the fabulous Falkirk Wheel which is now a major tourist attraction.

Parkview Court is located off Main Street, Camelon, just past the Rosebank Beefeater and at the back of the park at the side of the rejuvenated Forth and Clyde Canal. There are walks and cycle paths leading to the Falkirk Wheel. Our apartment is to the side of the building and has views over the park from the living room and kitchen windows.

2 Parkview Court is an elevated ground floor apartment in a purpose built small development consisting of twelve apartments. It is located to the side of the development, overlooking the park.

There is private parking for residents and visitors.

This is a non smoking apartment.

Parkview Court is ideally located for easy access throughout the Central Belt. Camelon train station, the Mariner Centre and Falkirk Golf Club are within 5 minutes walk and Falkirk town centre with all its amenities is 2 minutes by car. The Falkirk Wheel is also only 5 minutes by car. Public transport is readily available nearby.

Accommodation

The apartment has a spacious hall, large living room with a fully fitted kitchen off. There are two double bedrooms, one with fitted wardrobes, the other a large cupboard and a three piece bathroom. There is ample storage throughout.

The apartment has gas fired central heating and double glazing.

Facilities

The living room is bright and comfortably furnished with a corner group and matching chair. There is also a drop leaf dining table. The room is carpeted and there is a connection for a Sky dish.

The kitchen is equipped with oven, hob and microwave in addition to a fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. There is vinyl flooring.

The main bedroom has a king size bed, a large mirror door wardrobe and is carpeted.

The second bedroom has a double bed, large cupboard, freestanding wardrobe and chest of drawers and is carpeted.

The bathroom has an electric shower over the bath and is fully tiled.

The hallway has a large cupboard for storage and laminate flooring.

The apartment is centrally heated and double glazed.

Availability

Parkview Court is primarily available on a six monthly short assured tenancy basis and is currently occupied.
